Embrace the Sun

This week, my assignment through the clickin moms workshop, was to embrace the sun. Now, normally I would totally shy away from the sun, at all costs. But, this week, really showed me a lot and taught me, that I don't have to scared of Mr. Sun!

My assignment was to shoot a few pictures for each category. Category's being, the golden hour, full sun, and backlight (haze/ halo effect). All images were to be shot in RAW, editing only using Lighroom. We were supposed to post the image straight out of camera and the edited version. We were also to use a reflector and post which pictures we used it in.

I was very intimidated with this lesson, but came out of it feeling great! I have a whole new perspective for the beauty sun can bring to an image.

Being a holiday week, we went camping for a few days and it cut my week short. So unlike me, I waited until the last day to do my assignment. I do not work well under that pressure. I had one sunset left, to produce some descent pictures. Thanks to my wonderful husband, aka- reflector holder, I got it done and turned it in on time!!

I am so thankful for cute subjects for my assignments and even more thankful they are willing!!

Here are the pictures I submitted, the before and afters. I won't bore you with the detailed edits I made, but will include what I shot them at and some basic edits, for you photographers!!
