Papa and Nana

I am so blessed with the best parents on the planet!! They seriously are amazing, and I don't know what I would do without them. They are the most giving, fun, creative, energetic, enthusiastic, adventurous, helpful people I know. These last two weeks have been so amazing. I am so thankful to them for all they do for us and for all the fun they bring to our house.

They always come with lots of gifts

Ella's new bracelet

Jon's cool picture for his room of him inside papas loader "yoader" and his cool new spidy cape that Nana made him

They got Matthew this way cool Dinosaur for his birthday. He went crazy over this thing. It has a remote and Matthew thought it was real, he wrestled it to the ground!

Abby so excited about her new face painting book

The results of the face painting book. Nana's artistic hand!!

They gave Erik and I a night away that was so amazing and also another date night to go see "Iron Man 2"!!

When they come visit, they get up every morning with the kids! Each morning Jon and Papa, always the first two up, worked a little bit on Jon's race car that they were building together.

Hard at work, Jon is so proud of that car. It sits right next to the picture of him inside Papas loader

I also basically never cook when they are here. When they leave, the kids go into a little bit of shock. They go from french toast every morning, back to cold cereal and bananas. We had a bbq one of the last nights they were here.

So yummy, avocado salad, garlic bread, steak, corn, red potatoes, mushrooms and onions, horseradish dip, and iced tea. You are guaranteed to never go hungry if you have any type of relationship with my parents, they just won't have it. If you are hungry, just stop by and they will feed you. Also notice the wonderful daisy plant my dad bought me, I so hope I don't kill it!!

My mouth is watering posting this!

Eating our yummy dinner outside on our awesome new patio furniture!! Craigslist is the best!!

Erik and Jon built a fire pit and we had a fun campfire. Smores and banana boats over the fire for dessert.

All the projects we have on our list to accomplish, they devour it when they come visit.
First we cleaned out our horrible garage. It was an all day project with fixing the trailer, two trips to the dump, dad hanging shelving, organizing lots of junk and moving all the drywall we have for downstairs from one side to the other. I didn't take any before pictures, but basically you couldn't even walk around in there and we couldn't find anything. Right now my Suburban is parked in it!! It is so beautiful, I just go out there and stare at it! Who wants to go on vacation and clean out a garage, they do!!

Then we were off to Lowes, where they purchased all the items for the rest of our projects. My dad fixed my shelving in our pantry. The shelf that I hung and that fell down soon after, leaving huge holes in the wall. It's looks awesome and it's up there for life, guaranteed!

My windows have never looked so clean, my dad introduced me to a squeegee. Seriously the most amazing cleaning tool I have now! He did all my windows, they are beautiful!!

Then we moved onto my bedroom and bathroom. We painted, painted, and painted!!

Isn't that such a beautiful color? I just put the finishing touches on my room yesterday and can't wait to show you, I just love it!!!

Taping off the bathroom, such patients this girl has!

My dad hanging my curtains, isn't he the best! So patient, even after I told him that they needed to come down a bit, after they were installed. He is a perfectionist like me, he understands!!

I told you they had lots of energy!!!

I hope I have as much energy as they do when I am older. I guess I should keep drinking their Dr. Oz Belly Fat Blasting Smoothie that they made me every morning. It must be doing something for them. I am sold and will continue to make them, they got me hooked.

Belly Fat Blasting Smoothie (Dr. Oz)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender in order given.
  2. Whip until frothy.

But I know with or without the shake, they take after the energizer bunny!!

We have too much fun together!!

Two weeks is just not enough!!

My Mom read to the girls every night and then would come upstairs and rub my head ( I am such a sucker for any type of massage), I know I am seriously spoiled.

I felt like my gas tank was the jar of oil that never ran dry.

1 Kings 17: 15-16

15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.

Every time I got in the car to go somewhere, my tank would be full. I had a couple of gasoline fairies staying with me.

When they leave, I can't remember what my life was like before they came. It takes me some time to adjust back to reality. I am really going to miss our ice cream and scary movie nights!!!! Healthy breakfast shakes each morning balance out the ice cream we ate every night, right? Scary movies require some type of comfort food!!

I love this picture of all of us!

They are not to good to be true, they are very real, and they are my parents!!!

Love you Dad and Mom, Papa and Nana. We miss you so much already!!!
